Refund Policy

Last updated: May 11, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid plans of duomidi (the "Service"), operated by Frederico Guth (pessoa física), Brasília, Brazil. It applies in addition to our Terms of Service. Paid plans are sold through a third-party payment provider acting as Merchant of Record (the "Payment Provider"), which processes charges and refunds on our behalf; the Payment Provider's own refund terms also apply, and where they differ the more consumer-favorable terms prevail.

1. Free plan

The Free plan has no charges and therefore nothing to refund. You can stop using the Service at any time.

2. Right of withdrawal (7 days)

If you are a consumer located in Brazil, Article 49 of the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Law 8.078/1990) gives you the right to withdraw from any online purchase within seven (7) days of the charge, for any reason. To exercise this right, email fredguth@fredguth.com from the address associated with your account within that window and ask for a refund. We will refund the full amount paid for the current billing period using the same payment method.

3. Monthly Pro subscription

Outside the 7-day withdrawal window, monthly Pro charges are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation stops future charges and your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.

4. Annual Pro subscription

Annual Pro charges are refundable in full within the 7-day withdrawal window described in section 2. After that window, we offer a prorated refund of the unused portion of the annual term if you cancel because the Service has stopped working for you (for example, repeated connection failures we cannot resolve, or a sustained outage). Email fredguth@fredguth.com to request this; we review on a case-by-case basis.

5. Failed sessions and technical issues

duomidi requires WebRTC peer-to-peer connectivity. Some networks (notably symmetric NAT) cannot establish a connection with our current STUN-only setup, and the Service is hosted with scale-to-zero so the first session of an idle period may take a few seconds to start. These limitations are described in the Terms of Service and do not, on their own, entitle you to a refund outside the windows above. If you believe a charge was made in error or the Service was substantially unavailable, contact us — we will look into it in good faith.

6. Chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please contact us first at fredguth@fredguth.com. Most issues are faster to resolve directly.

7. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are issued by the Payment Provider to the original payment method. The time for the refund to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card network and is typically 5–10 business days.

8. Taxes and fees

Refunds cover the amount you paid. Where applicable taxes were collected, they are refunded together with the principal. Currency-conversion fees charged by your bank or card network are not refundable by us.

9. Changes to this policy

We may revise this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Changes apply to charges made after the change takes effect.
